Junior Accountant

We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join the team at our premises in Nicosia.

Qualifications

  • Applicant will ideally hold a relevant academic background in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field;
  • Any previous working experience will be considered an advantage;
  • Working towards a relevant accounting qualification including the ACCA/ACA/CPA will be considered a plus , but not a prerequisite;
  • Fluency in Greek & English is a must;
  • Basic computer literacy;
     

Responsibilities of the position

The Junior Accountant typical tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Bank reconciliation and payment requests;
  • Issue and post invoices on the accounting system and keep records up to date;
  • Responsible for the book-keeping (sales, purchases, nominal ledgers, etc) and providing assistance in the audit of the fund entities, fund Manager (CIF) ensuring on-time tax and statutory filing;
  • Assist in the preparation of interim and year-end financial accounts, periodic and regulatory reports for the fund entities and the fund manager as required by CySec, CBC and/or Companies
  • Preparation of VAT services & returns;
  • Liaising with Custodian, banks, auditors and clients ensuring smooth business operations;
  • Ensuring that pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met in a timely manner;
  • Work under the supervision of a Senior Accountant and the Chief Financial Officer
  • Working in a team and supporting supervisors in servicing clients, assisting with day to day requests and responding to their needs.

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous experience in a Finance team is highly desirable;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Must possess great attention to detail;
  • Must be self-motivated and self-starting;
  • Must be focused and deadline driven;

We are currently looking to recruit an Investment Advisor, Personal Pensions and Investments, to join our team at our premises in Nicosia.

Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics or a related field;
• CySEC Advanced Certification, or commitment towards obtaining one;
• Holding or working towards a relevant professional qualification will be considered an advantage;
• Strong communication skills for effective online client engagement and support;
• Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms for remote interactions to enhance online investment experience.

Responsibilities of the position
The Investment advisor tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Offer tailored investment guidance and recommendations to prospective and current clients;
• Provide detailed information on the LifeGoals Services/products to prospects and clients;
• Keep up to date with financial products offered by the Company, relevant legislation, and market developments;
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the investment suitability assessment process, in line with the MiFID requirements;
• Provide support to clients throughout their onboarding phase;
• Communicate to clients the key characteristics, risk and features of the investment products being offered;
• Offer guidance to clients using the LifeGoals platform, mainly through online communication channels;
• Monitor withdrawals and transfer-ins and liaise with clients to resolve issues promptly;
• Prepare of online educational materials to empower clients with the knowledge and tools to make informed investment decisions;
• Using online tools, educate clients on the best practices for managing their investments through the online platform;
• Prepare templates and assist in the smooth operation of the department.
• Contact clients and set up meetings and presentations, mainly online;
• Working in a team and support in servicing clients, assisting with day-to-day requests and responding to their needs;
• Review and ensure all promotional material and templates are up to date;
• Other ad-hoc duties as needed;

• Excellent organizational and communicational skills, able to work effectively in a diverse team environment;

Digital Marketing Associate - Holland/Belgium

To support our international expansion we are looking for a digital marketing associate to support our Dutch speaking retail clients in Holland and Belgium.

The successful candidate should be a native Dutch speaker with a keen appreciation of regional Dutch and/or Belgian cultural differences and an understanding of the individual decision making process, especially in relation to our online service offering.

Job description

  • Work with the business development and the development team to support the full translation of our service into Dutch;
  • Translate and develop social media posts;
  • Identify navigational or support opportunities and work with our communications team to explain or correct them;
  • Provide Dutch chat (or telephone) support. During our initial stages support - usually via chat - is prioritised and should be provided in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with investment advisors if required (please note that we are looking for a support person not an investment advisor).

Requirements

  • Native Dutch, or Flemish, speaker;
  • Fluent English;
  • A Dutch or Belgian university degree;
  • Some financial education is an asset, but not a requirement.

The job

While the commitment is part-time at first the successful candidate will be in a preferred position to grow as our Dutch language business expands. The successful candidate will be eligible for bonus compensation based on meeting or exceeding new client targets.
